The Raver's ReturnDrama or music?

Bromley High Street used to boast a cosy venue called the Little Theatre, that earnestly put on plays by Arnold Wesker and Harold Pinter. The much grander Churchill Theatre that was its replacement, is still an important venue for theatrical productions. But apart from Dicken’s Great Expectations, most of 2018’s line up of shows are Retro music orientated.

Pause for breath. They include The Carpenters Story, The ELO Experience, Let’s Twist Again, 20th Century Boy, Walk Right Back, The Hollies, That’ll Be The Day, Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac, The Drifters, Bowie Experience, Bringing Back The 60s, The Best of Wham! Summer Holiday the Musical, Buddy, Think Floyd, Johnny Cash Roadshow, The Take That Experience, Back To Bacharach, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Story of Neil Diamond, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Oh, and and tributes to George Michael and Abba. And they said Pop Music was ‘a passing fad’ that would ‘never last.’

Not sure who said that. Might have been somebody on Melody Maker, in the filing department.
